Astrological Ruling Aspect : Conjunction

You are ‘2 Peas in a Pod’ because you are of the same sign! You are of the same element and mode, have the same wants and drives in life and are ultimately on the same mission. You are both heading in the same direction and it’s relatively straight forward to be in tune with each other. Collectively your energies are merged and blended and it can seem as if your both cut from the same cloth. Your similarities in your manners and actions will be highly noticed by others.

However, this can be frustrating if you are strong-willed signs craving your own identity, freedom or personality (for example, Aries, Aquarius or Leo). Have you heard the term, ‘opposites attract’? Well this term describes this relationship perfectly. You are opposite but complimentary energies to each other. The opposition is all about polarity and duality. Where one person is weak, the other one is strong like a Ying Yang, making your blended energies create a wholesome unity. What you are interested in, can be completely different in subject or topic, but relatable and in tune with each other. You can see why the other one likes something, but it’s not for yourself and you respect that about them.

However, from time to time you can feel like you want opposite things which can pull you apart in different directions. You just need to remember the other person can see your want’s in life clearly because they are standing right in front of you. Use them to enhance your mission, not fight against it.

It’s very easy to blame and project your ideals on to each other because of this aspect. When we are low, we take on the worst traits of the opposite sign, so bear this in mind and be supportive to each other.

The square is the most challenging relationship combination of them all. Your relationship may feel like it’s in a constant state of high pressure and feeling like your being dragged in a direction you don’t want to go in, which can feel uncomfortable and tense. This is because the signs squaring each other are there to test us. What you want is so different to want the other person wants, but it flares up anxiety, frustration and irritation. Astrological Ruling Aspect : Trine

You are in Element Harmony because your signs are making a Trine to each other and you are of the same element (Fire, Air, Earth or Water). This creates a very easy energy between you two. You may not always want the same things, but you have an understanding of the other persons desires, because they are of the same theme of your own. In your relationship you just allow things to flow and it’s not hard work in any respect.  

However, with everything being so easy all the time and not feeling like you have to put in any effort, it can make you both really lazy, especially with each other. Try not to take your relationship for granted and ensure you’re always making an effort to keep things spicy and exciting.

Astrological Ruling Aspect : Sextile

The Sextile Aspect connects complementary signs. This means you are different elements to each other (Fire, Earth, Air and Water), but your elements work nicely together. If you are a Fire sign your partner is an Air sign and vice versa. Fire and Air work well together because Air Fuels Fire giving it room to grow and blossom.

If you are an Earth sign, your partner is a Water sign and vice versa. The Earth supports the Water and the Water shapes the Earth. They work really well together, and the energies just flow together without much effort at all.

This aspect is also quite lucky, and you can experience an array of opportunities. But despite it being fortunate, you will have to put some work in to ensure it doesn’t get stale. Don’t take each other’s complimenting energy for granted.

The Semi Sextile means you are neighbouring sign’s to each other. In the Zodiac wheel your signs come in sequence. Because of this, you are actually the most different to each other and the most dissimilar. Like the Quincunx Aspect, you don’t share the same element (Fire, Earth, Air or Water) and you don’t share the same mode either (Cardinal, Fixed or Mutable). Because of this, there is a lack of understanding in each other’s identities which can cause irritation and friction. It feels like you are constantly having to learn the other persons behaviours and reactions to work out why they act the way they do. At the beginning you may find it hard to get to know each other, but with a bit of solid work, an appreciation and respect for each other can be reached.

The aspect of the Quincunx tends to mean you both struggle to find things in common. Your likes, desires and drives have no connection or interlink. Like the Semi Sextile, you don’t share the same element (Fire, Earth, Air or Water) and you don’t share the same mode either (Cardinal, Fixed or Mutable). Passing energy between each other can feel like it never hits the spot. It’s as if sending someone an email, but it goes to their Junk mail…or you just never seem to be on the same page.

However, if time is dedicated and energy is applied to learn about the other person’s being and wants in life, there is no reason why a successful relationship can’t blossom, based on learnt knowledge of the other person. You will have a relationship of appreciation built over time, rather than an instant connection.
