WHERE IT ALL BEGAN...
Why Astrology? Why Tarot? My journey with these mediums started as a child.
With my birthday being September 19th I knew I was a Virgo, but I was fascinated by what that meant. I would read in magazines and then eventually the internet what it meant to be a Virgo obsessively. I would question the authors, who are these people that are writing this content and how do they know these things? Why am I a certain way just because of the day I was born? I would read all the traits of a Virgo and think well some of that is dead on right, and some of it is really off. This was really frustrating at the time. I would read Virgo’s are meant to be shy and introverted and I would think...THIS IS NOT ME!! As a kid I spent years performing on the stage and enjoyed being one of the louder ones; I wasn’t shy at all and I’m still like that today. However I did connect with many of the other Virgo tendencies like being down to earth, enjoying skilled crafts and cleaning! So some characteristics resonated and some didn’t which left me feeling very confused for years. Am I a broken Virgo? Who am I?
Then came the weekly TV magazine and the horoscope section at the back. I would read this every weekend and then go about my week with it in mind. I would think, so when is that part meant to happen? How much love and money trouble does a 13 year old really have but trying to make my life fit to it. Or some weeks I would try not think about it, reflect back and see if it had happened like a test. I really struggled to connect with this too as much as I tried.
WHERE IT ALL CAME TOGETHER...
Finding myself at a loose end in 2014 and wanting to take this hobby seriously I enrolled with the London School of Astrology (LSA). They opened my eyes to astrology and finally I understood how it all worked! ANSWERS = RELIEF!
I learnt that when you were born all the planets (including the Sun and Moon) are inline with 1 of the 12 zodiac signs. So for me as a Virgo means at my moment of birth, the Sun was inline with the constellation of Virgo. However the Moon was inline with a sign, so was Mars and Venus and so on for all the other planets. They are not only ‘‘in a sign’’ but also in a symbolic house system too representing the different areas of life. This is why there are not just 12 types of people in the world, everyone is so unique because of their own individual birth chart (your own screen shot of the universe when you were born). I have Mars right next to my Sun which means yes I’m a Virgo, but I have a very strong sense of self. I also have Leo rising which is all about drama, excitement and self expression. With this combination it suddenly made sense why I wasn’t that shy Virgo but a very out going one with all these other energies present. Finally by analysing each planet and position piece by piece, I had the answers I needed as to who I am and why.
Tarot came into my remit in 2017 as the LSA also offered courses in this. I fell in love with it instantly from my first class. I find it astonishing how the cards can reflect our current circumstances so accurately and the advice it can give you in order to move forward into the future. Truly mind blowing.
WHERE I AM TODAY...
From this magical and fulfilling journey I have been through and all the joys it has brought me along the way; it made sense to set up a business in order to help others go through this awakening experience. I want to help people gain a better understanding of themselves and advise how to make the most out of all areas of their lives so they can reach fulfilment too.
